Bell Hooks "Understanding Patriarchy"

Quote 1: "Dismantling and changing patriarchal culture is work that men and women must do together"

Patriarchy is a construction that is kept set up by conventional individuals. Perceive that patriarchy exists and look at your situation in this system. Contrasts between two genders does not mean that somebody is better than another person.

Quote 2: "Keeping males and females from telling the truth about what happens to them in families is one way patriarchal culture is maintained".

This is something that is prevalent to this day. There are numerous reports of abusive relationships in today's society and women are forced to stay in their relationship. If they don't, they are afraid of the man tracking them down and killing them. They are afraid of being stalked and with today's technology, it's very easy to find where people live.

Bell Hooks "The Oppositional Gaze"

Quote 1: "It is difficult to talk when you feel no one is listening, when you feel as though a special jargon or narrative has been created that only the chosen can understand."

Generally, diversity acquires more achievement, advances consideration and acknowledgment, draws in a greater crowd, and instructs us that everybody has the right to tell their story. People, especially younger children, want something that they can connect to real life. For this reason we really want inclusivity and portrayal in film.

John Berger "Ways of Seeing"

Quote 1: "A man's presence suggests what he is capable of doing to you or for you"

Being completely present implies having the option to perceive and respect your sentiments, having the option to encounter them completely without getting awkward, and afterward coordinating the energy from your feelings into valuable action. Self confidence begins in your cognizant and subliminal convictions about yourself. It's a confidence in your own capacities and your degree of self-trust. People struggle with self confidence due to fabrications depicted on social media.

Quote 2: "Consequently how a woman appears to a man can determine how she will be treated"

I see this type of behavior specifically on the social media platform TikTok where a overweight woman post a revealing video of herself and she gets hateful comments about her weight. I have also seen the reverse side where a normal weight woman posts the same video and she gets all positive comments. The societal norm for people is to hate and spread negativity on overweight individuals.
